The North Shore Polish Association BELWEDER

Polish Language School in North Vancouver - since 2002.

We admit children and teens between 5 and 18 years of age. In our school they can learn language, religion, geography and history of Poland and Polish culture. The students come to school every Saturday for 3 hours (10:00-13:00).

From our archive: Beach House Festival of Lights, West Vancouver 2004

Belweder participated in annual Beach House Festival of Lights organized by North Shore Christmas Bureau - Family Services. Festival entertained thousands of visitors during this month long event. Everyone enjoyed the extravagantly lit and decorated trees surrounding the Dundarave Pier. Donations received from the community during this Festival were distributed in the form of toys, gifts and food certificates to families with children who might otherwise not have celebrated Christmas.

Canadian Club of Vancouver - 100th Anniversary Gala Dinner

Urszula Sulińska, President of North Shore Polish Association Belweder with Ginny Hasselfield (Director, Leadership Giving, Simon Fraser University) and other guests at the 100 Anniversary of the Canadian Club of Vancouver.

The North Shore Polish Association "Belweder" is a non-profit organization
established in 2002. Its members are Canadians of Polish descent and/or
origins, mainly those who live on the North Shore of Vancouver. The following are main golas of our organization: to keep the Polish culture and tradition alive among the Polish community in Canada; to continue and transfer the thousand-year cultural heritage of Poland to the present and future generations; to promote all types of programs designed to further not only knowledge of the Polish history, language and culture but also to stimulate involvement of Polish-Canadian citizens in local, national, and international environments.
