Mother's Day 2003 at the Polish School

We make the best wishes to all mothers on the occasion of Mother's Day. Our wonderful  Mrs. Teresa Rakowska and Mrs. Danuta Dmowska prepared a program for our beloved mothers with the students. The children sang a few songs a cappella and gave each mom a red rose. Genowefa Domrzalska wrote poems that were recited by the students. We thank the teachers, children and all mums for a successful gathering.

Thank you to the organizers from the Parental Committee. Ms. Marta Mierzwinska and Mr. Andrzej Rombek chose presents that were gifted to the children by Santa. The Belweder North Shore Polish Association subsidized the party and helped to set up a menu for all participants. The Omas-Opas restaurant on Lonsdale provided the venue.

Thank you to the Consul of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Krzysztof Czapla, for co-financing The Polish School and celebration of “MikoÅ‚ajki”.

Teachers from the Polish School, Ms. Teresa Rakowska and Ms. Danuta Dmowska, prepared the children by teaching them Polish songs that were sung to Santa. The $25 party fee covered nearly all meals for children and parents, rent of the venue and original gifts, while the rest was subsidized by the Belweder North Shore Polish Association.
The party took place in a Polish restaurant on Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver.
