HISTORY
The Polish School was established in September 21, 2002 and for many years was located in the Catholic Secondary School - St. Thomas Aquinas, at 541 West Keith Road, North Vancouver, BC.
We enrolled children and youth ages 5 to 18 years old.
Lessons took place on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The program offered four subjects:
- Polish language
- Religion
- History
- Geography
The curriculum was based on the textbooks from the Polish community schools in Toronto. The Belweder North Shore Polish Association co-financed school's activities. We organized fundraising events such as selling products at the Polish Days event in Coquitlam and serving dinners in the Cafe at the St. Casimir’s Church.
